Rates

Therapy is an investment in yourself and, therefore, the relationships you’re in. We also understand that therapy is a financial investment. For these reasons and many others, our counselors at EMDR Therapy Austin take their work, their training, and your care seriously. Each of our trauma specialists has their own set fee, which you can find listed below and on their profile under Our Team.

Lauren Petka, LPC Associate- EMDR therapist: $165 per 50 minute session

Brittany Fellwock, LPC- EMDR therapist: $225 per 50 minute session

We list our fees on our website to be as transparent as possible, which is something you can expect in our work together. Your care is important to us, and if our rates are not within your budget, we will provide referral options to services that meet your needs. This list of low to no cost and sliding-scale therapy services is a good place to start.

Free Consultation

Each therapist at EMDR Therapy Austin offers a free 20 minute phone consultation to help determine if they are the right therapist for you. During your initial consultation, your therapist will ask a few questions so they can get an idea about what brings you into therapy and what you are looking for in your therapist and your treatment. It's important that you feel comfortable with your therapist. If they are not the right therapist for you, we can help you find someone who is.

Insurance & OON Reimbursement

EMDR Therapy Austin does not accept any form of insurance at this time. We accept credit, debit, HSA, and FSA cards, and we collect payment at the time services are provided. If you’d like to pursue out-of-network reimbursement, we can provide a receipt (called a Superbill) for you to submit directly to your insurance company. We want you to feel comfortable with the financial aspect of your counseling. Therefore, please check with your insurance provider to learn about your out-of-network mental health coverage prior to beginning treatment with us.

If you would rather have the reimbursement process handled for you, we have partnered with Reimbursify for you to easily submit your claims for out-of-network health insurance reimbursement. Your first claim is free to file, and subsequent claims are charged a small fee. You can read more about Reimbursify here.

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you decide to work with one of our clinicians, we will provide you with a Good Faith Estimate.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1.800.985.3059.
